No Arrests

No arrests yesterday on the mall. Was there an expectation that republicans were going to burn and pillage? Sorry but that's in the realm of liberals. Can you imagine the anarchy created by masked, Che-clad punks if this was McCain's inauguration?
More Change

Looks like disrespecting Congressional Medal of Honor recipients is part of the change we can believe in. A no show at the Congressional Medal of Honor Ball, Ol' jug ears breaks a long running tradition. He just couldn't find it in himself to pay a little respect to those we owe so much.

Change!

Ol' Jug Ears has a looming decision. It is about keeping his campaign promise to release the terrorists from Guantanamo. Whatever decision he makes on where to put the prisoners I'm sure it will include millions of dollars going to law firms to defend the garbage. Oh wait, everything is now billions. Spending millions on government programs is so yesterday. That's the change we can believe in.

What If John Kerry Won?

This strange idea washed over me today. What if John Kerry had won in 2004? It certainly would be handy to know Professor Hubert J. Farnsworth when having a 'what if' question like that.

It sure would be interesting to see the twists in logic made by the media to somehow blame this mess, instigated by the works of Barnie Frank and Chris Dodd, on Republicans or possibly even George Bush.

It's not a big leap in imagination to see spineless Replublicans just bend over and take it.

Mmmmm... Green Chili
I spent the night at Mom and Dad's place Thursday night so that I could make it to a funeral of a friend on Friday morning without having to deal with beltway traffic. A side benefit of this stay was that I could pick up the frozen green chili my brother had shipped for a Christmas present.

You see, last July, my dad, my son, and a couple of my brothers and I were biking in Wyoming. We rode up a mountain, heading to the area where we were going to camp but it was blocked by at least 10 ft of snow. Did I say this was July? Being about 9pm we needed a back up plan and we needed it fast. We cruised back down the mountain and found a place called Snowy Mountain Lodge and rented a cabin/shed for the night.

The lack of a flush toilet was offset by the wondrously delicious Breakfast Burrito. This thing was a work of art. Put together by a biker chick/chef/future EMT, this thing had to be at least 2lbs of fried potatoes, meat, egg, cheese, and green chili.

Well, I thawed out a chunk of green ice from the gallon ice cream container that is now in my fridge. I fried up some potatoes and onions, scrambled some eggs, melted some cheddar, and heated up the chili.

I should have taken a picture, green sauce with chunks of stewed tomatoes and chunks of stew beef. I think I'll go lick the pan clean.

The New Drill in High School
This morning my sons were telling me about the emergency drills they are doing at school. One drill has them go hide in the corner. Can you believe it? I told them no f'n way are they to hide in the corner, even during these drills.

Take a look at how the students were executed at VT. They were lined up against the wall when told and were shot. They are not heroes. So many able-bodied people. A classroom of twenty could easily overpower an armed individual. Sure some would be shot but the alternative is having the lunatic walking from room to room, killing, reloading, and killing many more.

Didn't anyone learn from 9/11? Those people that fought back on flight 93 were heroes and they saved many lives by crashing that plane into a field in Pennsylvania.

True Americans don't hide in the corner.

The Schtick is Over
Looks like the tide is changing on Al Gore's man-made global warming schtick. The founder of Greenpeace says there is no proof global warming is caused by humans. He's also pushing nuclear power plants.

Has hell frozen over? Do pigs have wings? I find it hard to believe I'm agreeing with someone from Greenpeace.

Watch Hillary Squirm
It sure is fun watching the Hildebeast as she continually puts spin to the poll driven decisions she has made in the past. How could anyone vote for her when she can't explain what she voted for as a Senator? Oh yeah, that's right, all the "freebies" the she'll provide after she grabs everyones pay and profits.

For her next trick let's see her cry under pressure from Obama or the GOP.
